Small boyfriend problem, need advice? (10 points)?
To start off, I'm a guy, if this helps. I've been going out with this guy for like, a week now. I found him on facebook. We go to different schools but live in the same city. Two days ago we met for the first time in person at the mall. We've been texting everyday, but 9 out of 10 times he takes at least 5 minutes to reply back. It's frustrating because it makes it hard to have a decent conversation with him. Today he isn't texting me back, and it's been 3 hours. He's working today, but one would think by now he would've gotten another break. I feel like if he really cared about me he wouldn't take so long to reply to my text. Since he does this so often I'm beginning to think maybe he's gotten tired of me already, or maybe he just lied to me about loving me. I'm really annoyed at this. At the same time, I can't help but wonder if I'm being too clingy or if I'm a little too much in love with him. What I'm asking is, is the problem here him, or am I being clingy?

I'm sorry to crush your dreams, but if he'd really care about you, he'd make you a priority. If I'm in a difficult situation where I cant text, but I know he texted me, I'd go to the bathroom and text him there. Depending on what he's doing, other things are prior to him.

However, it could be just his personality, to not show that he cares. Some guys like to do this because it makes them look more interesting. But I dont think that you're the problem.
Just trust him on this (: Don't worry your pretty head about it too much. Don't become too much in love in the beginning of something, because what if everything was a lie? Then you will only hurt yourself.

You want to feel secure knowing he has interest. Just knock off the texting and just call the guy. Meet him for coffee and find out what he's thinking.

But be careful, a lot of gay men just find naive partners to shack up with then dump them on the pile and move on.
