Hello!

Microsoft has many excellent white papers on how to manage your question.

To create an external reference link in a workbook that references a cell or a range of cells in another workbook look at this link.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-...42364.aspx

To get dates and times to format correctly you will need to format those cells in the workbook where you want your data to display.

Microsoft has a number of excellent white papers and tutorials on thier site you can check for more detailed information.

Happy Numbering!

To reference an external reference, start typing the formula, then click on the external reference, and select the cell or cells.

Use the TEXT function to format dates in formulas. Example: assume there is a date in A1. This formula will copy the date and format it correctly.

="The correct date is "&TEXT(A1,"mm/dd/yy")

You can use any number of combinations. "m/d/yyy" will return 1/1/2012. "mm/dd/yy" will return 01/01/12. If you are still having trouble, send me the file at franklymydear00@gmail.com.
