Can you tell me about wattpad?

I've heard about it here, but am confused. Can someone describe it to me? What features do they provide?

I'm not into Facebook or anything like that at all. Do I need one? If I don't know anyone and just start posting things, is it likely to get reviews?
Right now I use Fictionpress.com, can anyone compare them?

The purpose of Wattpad is very similar to that of Fictionpress. However, Wattpad is much more user friendly and has a larger number of members which means that your stories will probably get looked at more.

On Wattpad, you can:

- pick a cast for your characters

- choose a background for your profile
- choose a profile picture

- be a fan

- dedicate some of your chapters
- get chapters dedicated to you
- have multiple reading lists
- chat with other members
- join clubs depending on the genre you like
- get critiques
- keep up to date with the Insider (the wattpad blog)
- join story contests such as the Watty Awards
- join poetry contests such as the Atty Awards
- make friends
- form groups
- have writing questions answered
- And much more!
