My friends are on FB talking about they shutting down facebook this coming March. Is that true? Why?

Facebook is like my whole freaking life all my family and friends are on there.

No it's a rumor based on a fictitious, satirical story published on WeeklyWorldNews.com, a tabloid-style website (formerly a weekly newspaper) best known for past scoops such as "Alien Spaceships to Attack Earth in 2011" and "Megan Fox Is a Man."

It's not true. Apparently it's from a satirical site that posts fake international news, intended to mess with people for funsies: http://www.fakingnews.com

It's not true, it's a rumor that was created by mixing two different news, probably started by a satirical page.

Facebook already responded to this rumor by saying that it's not true and that they are just getting started.
