How to convince my parents to let me get a facebook?
So i'm a freshmen in high school and i really want to get a facebook. My mom might let me but she wants to know more about facebook like what you do with it and their safety settings and such but i don't really know what to tell her cuz i don't actually have one so i don't know about all the features. Any suggestions?

I had this same problem!
Just tell her that it's better than other social networking sites like myspace because you can set it so that people who are not friends with you can only see a tiny picture of you and your name, nothing else unless you add them. Also mention that you are completely in control of who can view your information and talk to you, as there is a confirm or deny for friend requests.

You can make your profile private so no one else can see it and you can make all your pictures private too so only your friends can see them.

Convince her to get one so that she can approve for you to have one. But seriously just get one.
