Safer than Facebook?

Darlin, Facebook is one of the safest social websites on the entire planet, not to mention professionally organized, has a great layout, and is fantastic for connecting with friends. MySpace might be the website you're thinking of, that was awful and horribly done. Not to mention nobody uses it anymore because it was so unprotected and annoying and flashy. I couldn't stand how unorganized and bloody stupid that site was.
Facebook is EXTREMELY safe, there is no way for anyone to see what you don't want them to see, really.

I don't know who told you Facebook isn't safe, but it is. Even my mom approves of, AND uses it.

Facebook is actually one of the safest. Way safer than myspace, i know that. You just have to set your privacy settings to friends only and you're good.

Facebook is the safest social networking site out there. It forces users to use their real name when signing up and using the website. You add people who know or know of. Unlike myspace, a person can't make a fake profiles and troll. There are also so many privacy features.

Facebook is fairly safe. I agree with what the others said about that above. If you'd rather not use Facebook, how about joining forums? There are topic-specific ones covering a wide variety of things from photography to cats to crafts, etc. Hope that helps!
