If I delete my facebook, will all my photos get deleted too?

I'm making a new facebook because my current one is full of people I don't know, photos I don't like, fan pages I don't care about. It's just far easier to make a new one.

I've uploaded a lot of pictures though, so if I delete my current account will the photos people are tagged in be deleted? Will I have to re-upload them to my new one?

Yes. Create a new one, then go back onto your old and tag yourself onto them. That SHOULD work....I'm not sure if the original is deleted if the tags will be destroyed. I wished I knew more.

You can not delete a facebook account, only put it on a "sleep mode" which you can reactivate just by logging in again.

Yes, all the photos will be deleted, and yes, you'll have to re-upload them to the new Facebook account. To make things easier however, I recommend you download the content of your Facebook account via the utility linked below. Once you kick off the utility, you'll get an e-mail in a couple of hours with a link to where you can download your content.

Yes, if you permanently delete your account all the photos you uploaded will be deleted. There is a period of time of 14 days in which you can log in and recover everything. After that you will have no chance of recovery.

Just in case you want to restore your current account, there are ways to quickly remove multiple pages and friends.
