He constantly texts me but has a gf?

I met this guy over the summer and we became good friends. He lives over 1000 miles away but we keep in touch through Facebook and text. Lately he's been texting me everyday, he's really fun to text and makes me laugh. The only problem is, he has a gf. I feel bad texting him all the time because of her. Should I be worried? Or is he just being a friend? I'm also afraid ill start liking him, we have the same views and morals and everything but i don't want to get in the way of their relationship, bc he he "really likes her". Any words of wisdom?

well if you respect the relationship he is in you will back off a bit. it is ok to be a friend but don;t let it go to far.. so i would not return all his text asap. Just be really careful or some one will wind up hurt .

He just wants you as a friend,and try not to catch feelings for him because you dont want to be the only one with feelings and you guys live 1000 miles apart.Just try your hardest to keep it on a friend level to where you guys can talk about anything.

Don't worry too much. He probably just wants to be friends, and its best that way. You don't need to feel bad, he probably thinks of you as a good friend and is loyal to his gf. Just because you're becoming close to him doesn't mean you'll like him. If you really do like him, maybe try talking to him a little less. It would be hard, but if you really care about him then its for the best.

I believe he is just txting for company. I've seen it in times, and it is better for the relationship to start on regular meeting for some time than for just summer time crush and to over top such a distance between each other. Not saying it is impossible to a relationship to burst, but very unlikely. You should just enjoy the conversations and if you feel you are falling to much, just avoid it and continue on with like surely you will find someone better!
