How can i convince my mom that twitter is safe and that she starts to respect my privacy?
My mom doesn't approve me having a public account in twitter. I told her that i can make my updates private but i don't want to do that because i want to get to know new people. So now she constantly google's my name and checks my twitter updates (she doesn't have a twitter account but she can see everything because my twitter profile is public)..

She constantly complaines to me about the fact that the whole world can see my updates and i have told her that it doesn't bother me and that i don't tell anything really personal in there..

It just bothers me that she stalks what i do in twitter daily and that she can't respect the small amount of privacy i have.. I really don't want her to see what i tweet to my celebrity crushes and what i talk about with people..So do i just have to make my updates private, even though i really don't want to do it,to make her stop checking what i do in twitter ? AND i know se probably only thinks about what's the best for me but still.. i mean she approves me having twitter but not the fact that the whole world can see it but i REALLY don't want to make my account private and i think it's just stupid to have a private twitter account (just my opinion)

sorry about the possible miss-spellings

Your privacy does not need to be respected until you are of age to be on your own, out from under your parents roof and guidance.

well if your mom ALLOWS you to have twitter, then just for arguments sake just put the profile on private. If you were on the outside looking in from her point of view, there are some stalkers, nutjobs, and predators out there looking for new victims who always go on their twitter and facebook accounts and post all of their personal business and it makes it easier for these types of people to do something crazy to these innocent people.

Now another idea you could try since your mom actually looks up your profile is to change your name on the account. Make up a fake first and last name let your friends know about it so they can follow you and mom never will find you.
