what programming languages needed to design something like facebook?
i want to learn how to set a website like facebook and do it on my own servers can someone tell to start.

SQL (for the back end storage), XML (for the server-client communication), HTML (for the front end presentation), Javascript (for the front end automation), and whatever language you want to develop the server-side guts with (PHP, C++, Python, .NET, whatever).
