how to activate text notification for facebook mobile?

I have registered to facebook mobile with my mobile number. But in the notification tab of the account settings page of facebook, the applications are only showing email notification option and there is no option for getting the notification for any application on mobile via text. The mobile tab of the account settings page is only showing my registered mobile number, but the settings of any related notification is not showing.

just put your phone number on your profile and make it private if you don't want people to get your phone number thats it

Go to your facebook account settings then mobile settings and do what you want.
But First activate your mobile number.
