If I make my twitter private, will my account still appear in searches?

I have set my account so that if anyone wanted to follow, they'd have to send a request. There are some people I don't want to see/follow my account but wanted it to still be visible in searches so that others could follow if they wanted. Thanks

No, your tweets won't show up in searches. If you have set your account to be private only the people following you can see your tweets.

Greatest - you are wrong. Even if they go to the profile they won't be able to see the tweets. All they'll see is a notification that the tweets are protected and that you'll have to send a request to follow.
