How do you know a real celebrity on twitter from a fake?

If they're real, they'll have a blue check mark by their name. Or, you could go to their profile and look at their pictures and see if it's really them or not. on myspace i became friends with selena gomez and i went on her profile and looked at her pictures and she had pictures of her so i knew it was really her. If you send them a message and they reply then it's really them. so mainly you want to see if they reply and if they have pictures. hope this helped.

Some celebrities are verified on Twitter (the blue checkmark next to their name) which is how you can tell if it's real or not, but just because some of them don't have the blue check thing next to their name doesn't mean they're fake. Twitter doesn't verify some celebrities' twitter accounts for some reason. I'm sure you could find an interview or something with the celebrity where they confirm what their real account is.
