How do you make friends when you no longer have a social network?

I am a full time workaholic and I have been out of school for some time now....where do you meet new people to be friends with when you no longer have a social network such as school? And I'm talking meeting people for friends and not like going out to a bar to hook up.

Find a hobby. You'll meet people and have something in common to talk about and do.

there are network, chat-rooms, or local market places, as matter in fact here is one of the many places you can make friends too, but you need to talk ot people communicate is the key no matter where you go, you always can make friends, good luck
