How do you message someone on Twitter?

I don't see any "Send Message" type of buttons so how do I contact them?

You can only send a direct message to them if you're both following each other. The option should be somewhere along the right side of the page..


(If you're talking about a regular tweet, all you have to do is write @AndThePersonsUsernameHere at the beginning of one of your updates.)

you can send direct messages but only to people who are following you too

if they are following you (and you're following them) on their profile there will be a "message [their name]" button on the right side

You just type the @ thing then their name in the box.
