iPhone 4S vs. Blackberry Bold 9930?

I currently have an upgrade for verizon and i am thinking about using it to get a phone for christmas from my parents. I am having trouble deciding between the new blackberry bold 9930 with the touchscreen or the new dual core iphone 4s. It is a tough decision as i like certain aspects of both the phones. For the blackberry, i love the full physical keyboard and bbm is very useful to me. For the iPhone, i love the idea of not having to carry around both a phone and an ipod, and also iOS 5 (the dual core chip and 8mp camera dont hurt either). What are your opinions on which is the better choice? If it helps, i currently have the Droid X, but kind of miss having that full physical keyboard feeling. Also, i like the notification light so i can see if i have messages even if my screen is off (the blackberry bold has this, the iphone 4s doesnt). What do you think is the better choice?

I personally love android & wouldnt trade it for any phone, but between the 2 id say the Iphone. Blackberrys blow big balls

For me, IPHONE would be a better choice, the new iOS 5 has more than 200 improvements than previous one. And as far as i know, the Siri would be a great feature to use, you could search the siri video in youtube...it is really fantastic..

For a start, you said you currently have Droid X. I must say if this two devices are the only thing you are comparing.! It is a tough choice for you, but in my opinion you should pick the Blackberry 9930. Why! You simply miss the full physical key boards ( and trust me the keys are amazing, you wont miss spell a word, and even type faster ) Also it now has a touch screen called " liquid graphics " due to its screen size ( 2.8 ) it created a crisp, vivid, clear, smooth screen. Although this might need to get used to, since you currently have the droid. And you claimed that BBM is very useful to you. why? Are most of your friends has Blackberry? If so, then it would be a good phone for you to keep in touch with all of them. Plus its a world phone as well, since it accepts SIM CARDS. However you would loose the camera quality since it doesn't have autofocus. RIM decided to sacrifice this feature so they could make the phone thin and light ( but the Apple manged to do it, and better 1080p video ) As for the web browsing, it would be a downgrade, bec. 1.2ghz with only single core. It manage to run on an average for web searching. Smartphones now these days carry dual core and its becoming a standard. ( Rim is still chasing goose on market! ) If you had a blackberry before you would see a significant improvement over the last devices they made in terms of size, web, software OS7, etc. Notifications is awesome, you will never miss a thing ( im not sure if you are familliar with blackberry app called BeBuzz?! you could customize the color LED flash notifications ( example; blue for twitter, red for miss call, turquise for emails, yellow for facebook, green for unknown caller or simply combine the colors customize it to strobe flash ) works fine even your phone is in silent mode. Also downside on Blackberry is their apps, only 20,000+ avail. not a lot of free. There's a rumors going on that they will have an android apps in near future ( I will not be surprise if they will annouce this when they will have the QNX avail. for their phones on 2012. QNX is the software they currently have on Blackberry playbook )

iphone 4s on the other hand is amazing on web, it claims that it is now a few seconds faster than the Samsung Galaxy s 2. ( but of course the Galaxy has a build in flash ) iphone 4s still same look externally, but apple said they have 200 new features built in on this new phone. Im not sure what those are, but I'm sure I wont be avail to use em' all..and of course still pack with some old hardwares that we found on iphone4.

FYI:

if you don't have an iphone before and you are mainly concern on camera, video, web browsing, apps, games, and in need of assistance or simply lazy enough ( SIRI ) is there for you. then this device would make you a happy person!! choose iphone4s.

But if you enjoy textings, emails, social networks, little on web, don't care about camera or apps. and games and want to send and recieve your messages asap.. then indeed you need Bold 9930. And since you miss the keyboards then this device will suits your needs

And of course if you ever didn't like the 9930, when your contract is over, the iphone 5 would be avail. for you with much more improvements on both external & internal.. ( remember SIRI is still just a BETA ) Apple said they would improve its capabilities in near future... and of course where do you think they would put!?
