What's a mixtape mean in this context?
This singer Porcelain Black has been waiting ages for her album to be released, but they're taking forever to get her lined up for a big release. So she posted on twitter today, 'F*** it! I'm releasing a mixtape.'

What does it mean in that context? I know what a mixtape means in general, but does it mean there that she'll be doing new material etc? Thanks!

She's joking, saying she'll record all her tracks onto an old cassette tape and sell those to her fans.
