Do you like Twitter??????

I was thinking about getting a twitter. Is it useful? Do you like using it? What can you do on it? Is it similar to facebook cause my parents wont let me get a facebook.

i myself dont like facebook is way better all u do 4 twitter is 2 chat and have updates i had one but it got soo boring i got facebook

although twitter IS mainly for celebrities.

Both Facebook and Twitter are both social sites with the same idea. Keeping in touch with friends and familys.

But both have their ups and downs.

Facebook leans more towards games, talking only to friends/family, and sharing photos.

Twitter is more towards talking to family/freinds/anybody. You can also share photos too.

Now what can you do with twitter? a lot actually!

Here is what I use twitter for

1. To keep updated on things I want to know about @googlevoice @redbox @omgubuntu I can follow these people without having them to accept me to follow them.

2. When I have a question or something I can tweet it and sometimes I get a helpful response from somebody. For example I was looking for an iPhone app that had specific features. So i put out my question and I mentioned @appcraver in it. Well appcraver retweeted it and I got 3 responses with the program that was what i was looking for Readdle Docs.

3. I also use twitter to track my gas mileage, send important tweets to my evernote account, I also use it to look for @redbox codes. Also i use it to send reminders to people.

So yes it is useful, and I love using it and I like how there are no games. So i don't get stupid notifications about cafe world or stuff like that. What I want to see is my friends updates, not my friend baked a pie in cafe world.

It is up to you. but there are so many things you can do with twitter.

Its not just to tell someone your eating a sandwich. Those people obviously have never utilized the full power of twitter. I dont think even I have.

And no its not just for following celebrities or celebrities. again see comment above.
