How do you delete a facebook application that you used to play?

I have used facebook applications like Farm Town and Cafe World and want to get rid of them completely. How can I do that? When I click on the remove link it takes it off my profile but my account and game are still accesible. I want to delete my account.

go to facebook settings, delete it in application settings

Remember when you are in application settings page to select to view all applications not only recently used ones.
