How do you work Twitter?

I really don't understand it. Facebook is so much easier! Anyway...so all you do is write like your "status"? Can you talk to people? Also what is retweeting and how can you see if someone is replying or talking to you? Please explain in a simple way! Thanks!

If you want to check your mentions or replies, then click on “@your-profile-name”, for private/direct messages click on “Direct Message”.

Retweeting is an important part of the Twitter experience. The retweet (or “RT”) permits Twitter users to share the best links, tweets, and gems they find from others using the service. Click the retweet link, highlighted below every tweet. Click the “Retweets” tab on your homepage to see what you’ve retweeted, what’s been retweeted by people you follow, and who retweeted your Tweets!

To reply just use @followed by user_name. Ex – if you want to reply Rohan, then use @rohan, after the name press space and type the message. Like this: @aldos You have CIWS (Corporate IT Withdrawal Syndrome). Keeping all emails to CYA is a classic symptom.
