How do you message people on Twitter?

if you go to your following friends then it will say direct message under there name.

In order to sent them a direct message you have to "follow" them on Twitter and they have to "follow" you. To send them a message, text 40404 with:

d (their twitter name) (your message)

example:

d kaylabayla How've you been??

You are allowed to send up to 140 characters via text, so keep it short. If you'd like to send them a message without using your phone, you are also able to send them one by visiting http://www.twitter.com. The site is very user friendly and you'll find your way around easily.

Dont be sorry i had difficulty in the start too its alot to understand from the get go. After struggling through trying to understand stuff i searched the web and found a great guide that goes through the basics of twitter and it will show you exaclty how to message people in different ways. it worked well for me and it should for you to!!!!!
