how do i send direct tweets to people i am following ?

just started on twitter and wondered how i get to people i am following is there a direct way without using the reply route hope you can help

Direct messaging.

In order to do that, you must be following them an they must be following you back.

Click home.


on the right hand side of the page you should see this

@mentions
direct messages
favorites
retweets

click direct messages, on the drop down where ist says " send____ a direct message"
select the person you want to message. any thing that is sent in a DM (direct message) is private. then click send and your done.
