Okay, um how do I send people messages Twitter? Like, on 106 and Park, they say "Hit us up on Twitter!", how do I do that?

I'm sorry if I sound a little lame but I'm kinda new to Twitter. Please no mean answers I just want a little help.

If they aren't following you back, you can't send them a Private Message.

BUT, you can do an @reply. Like this:

@their_username Hey what's up?

You might want to check the "Help" page. It has a short, easy video on Twitter basics and its very handy.

To send a direct Tweet to someone, just type @ and then the user's Twitter name and it will show up on their timeline if they are following you. To send a direct message to them that only you and the other person can see, click on "Direct Messages" right by 'Favorites' and then choose the user and write your message. Its easy! Just keep exploring Twitter and you will find out how simple it really is!
