Facebook: How do I get rid of the new application icons under my profile picture?

I noticed that within the past two days, Facebook has added new icons under my profile picture, with links to "Information", "Graffiti", "Education and Work", and "Photos". How do I get rid of these icons? Thanks.

when you are on the first page it puts you on when you sign in, the "news feed" page, on the left side it should say applications and an edit button next to that. click edit and from there you can get rid of the excess applications.

it might be on your preferences or when you edit you page.
