What are the best apps to get for your blackberry bold?
I'm getting a new blackberry and I want good apps that are really cool and what not, that are free. Please just give me the name of it and it'd be greatly appreciated! thanks.

Blackberry Messenger
This is the app that sets Blackberry apart from every other smart phone. There is a not a phone on the market that can compete with Blackberry’s Messenger (BBM). BBM allows users to send text messages, voice notes, pictures and files to any Blackberry user. Another feature of BBM is it’s read receipts. It displays when a message has been to delivered to someone’s phone, and if it has been read. Facebook & FriendChat The Facebook app is pretty much a simpler, faster, and easier to use version of the mobile Facebook site. However it does not have chat, hence why I included the FriendChat App by Jared Co. It’s a simple utility that allows you to chat with your Facebook friends while out and about. The Light Everyone uses their phone as a flashlight sometimes. This app by Igor Shitarev turns the flash on and off allowing you to use your blackberry as a flashlight. Obviously your blackberry must come equipped with a flash for this to work. WeatherEye No matter where you live, it’s always good to know what the weather is going to be like the next day. This app by The Weather Network makes it simple. It also allows you to bookmark different locations, this is very useful if you are on the go a lot. Who Is It This Jared Co app allows you to see who’s texting you without having to touch your phone. Instead of just having the LED indicator flashing red, you can set it different colors for different contacts. Ads |

I just got a 9650 myself and love, love, LOVE IT! Here are a few of my fav apps...
Free Apps.... BlackBerry News Feeds (best RSS reader and I've tried them all) Capture It (screen capture) Opera Mini (browser) Fixmo Extend (free tethering app) SocialScope (Twitter, Facebook and Foursquare; may still require an invite) Pageonce Personal Assistant (access bank info, email, social sites, you name it; free & paid versions) Amazon PayPal NewEgg StartMeUp (set apps to start on device resets) Angry Farm (addicting game; free & paid versions) Yahoo IM (if developed by RIM it uses BIS and not SMS) BatteryBooster by S4BB (doesn't boost battery a lot, does help though and is the best I have found) Blackberry Protect (wireless backup/restore of contacts, calendars, memos, tasks, SMS & browser bookmarks; track lost device via the website; remotely lock device, change device password or delete all data) A couple paid that are well worth the $... QuickLaunch (costs around $5, but is REALLY worth it) MagicIcon (allows you to change your app icons) PageOnce Pro (same as above with push notifications; calendar integration and more) |
