Why'd Myspace go all wierd?

Everyone has recently ran off to Facebook (Which I don't wanna use cos I hate it) and Myspace has just changed everything to the point where I don't know how to navigate the goddamn thing, the reason I dont like Facebook is because I didnt know how to use it.

Is Myspace just trying to be Facebook?

Is anyone else just over 'social networking'?

Anyone else hate how people left Myspace cos their friends say "Myspace is dead, Facebook is way better"? Stupid trend following hippies!

Eh, I'm ranting, I'm just bored and my last resort of entertainment is unusable due to it's new-found complexity.

just go to facebook its wayyy better trust me. When i first made it i hated it too because people were sending me all kinds of junk and confusing me but its actually SOOO EASY after you get used to it. One day i just logged on and knew how to use it out of no where.

myspace is more complicated than facebook now.
doesn't matter i have both accounts. i use facebook more because of the myspace change

Facebook surpass MS because it promoted itself as place for richer and more educated people, making myspace the default for poor and dumb people. Most people didn't want to be poor or dumb, so they jump ship quick when facebook opened its doors to everybody. Facebook did a great job at marketing though and sustaining its customers, and I believe that FB will be around for 5-15 years.

Myspace had no control over its destiny, except it did a poor job of promoting itself as the cool teen. There's really no such thing as a cool teenager forever. But yeah, you are right, their recent move was wierd. They just digging the hole deeper. They can't really do anything now because they are considered the ghetto fo cyberspace.

I kind of agree with J. Myspace was a great site, and much more social than Facebook. Facebook can't really be customized, but eh. I got over it. Who cares? I wouldn't have liked it a couple years ago. but now I don't mind. and the site sort of has a different aura than Myspace. On Myspace you'd see a cute guy/girl on a band page and you might add them. On Facebook I feel less confident in doing so, it seems more of a place where they'd say "who the heck are you?"
They do have plenty of cute games to bring in all the annoying tweens. Though they are fun, and pretty addicting. Then the status stream and the notifications are nice, it tells you when someone comments back on a photo/status other than yours that you commented and gives a good link. not like Myspace (at least it used to be this way) gave you one time link then you went, but sometimes the page had an error. and you never know what photo got a comment. unless you go look through ALL of them. I used to hate Facebook like the rest of the Myspace users. but I got over it too. Its actually much nicer and more organized than Myspace is now, trying to be Facebook. Myspace is trying to be an all in one, a three ring circus. Its not working. Most of the people I know miss the simpler days before Myspace got big and Tom stopped working for them. Tom doesn't even use his Myspace anymore!
