Question about TWITTER ?

I tweeted a ' happy birthday ' to someone, but when I refreshed it wasn't there ? I'm fairly new to Twitter, so Im slightly confused, has it sent ? I don't want to keep tweeting them, coz it's annoying, so Im just making sure ?
I have clicked myself, and it is there , so it sent ? ;o

Click on your name at the top of the page to go to your profile page and see if it is there. I assume you clicked on the tweet button to send it - and I also assume you didn't go over 140 characters. If you missed either of those then it didn't send.

And just fyi. you can send messages two ways - you can tweet the other person or you can send them a direct message. If you go to their profile page, at the top of the page is an icon of a person with a little upside down triangle - click the triangle and you can see options. The first listed is to tweet that person, the second is to send a direct message. They are different. The tweet shows as a tweet that anyone can see, the direct message is private.

edit: Yes, if it shows on your profile, then it was sent.
