Random people following me on Twitter?
I just made a twitter, and random people started following me? (stepgran, elephillies382, and amdevteam). I have no idea who they are, could they be malicious or something? Should I block them? How do I know if they're real people or bots or something?

Welcome to the Internet, where you expose your life to complete strangers. Anything and everything you post can and likely will be used against you, even if you get embarassed and delete it. People have lost jobs or had college acceptances revoked over things they thought only their friends would see online.

Twitter has a new motto, didn't you hear?:
"Twitter, a tool for rapists, pedophiles, and kid-nappers." |

Yeah, same here. I think it's bots trying to randomly add people.

Anytime you blog or "twitter", random people will follow you. Isn't that the point of an online post? To get attention?

You can block them if you want. You can use Twitter however you want. However, someone following you really cannot hurt you. You can make your tweets private if you want. Are you using Twitter for personal use or business? If for business, read this article:
http://www.nextlevelblogger.com/how-to-u...-business/ If for personal use, block all the people you like, but if you're active on Twitter, people you don't know will keep following you. It's the whole point. It means they're interested in reading what you have to say |
