How do you decline a request for someone to add you to their online list withou them being notified?
Other applications like Facebook have the option to Ignore friend requests without notifying the requesting party. Is this possible in the Yahoo chat interface?

I don't want the person to know that I've rejected their request, so it's really annoying to be promted to accept or decline it every time I open Yahoo mail.

Thanks.

I don't think there is a way unless you add them then block them on and off.

Block them from your list.
you will no longer recieve the notifications that they are trying to add you.

How I do it is I don't acknowledge the request at all. I pretend it isn't even there.

you may as well be direct, and then block the person. send a final email, block...or for yahoo, add the person, then block.

Block them is right.
They add you to their list even if you don't add them to yours.
You don't have to approve it. The email is just for you to add them to your list. I tested this.

I got an email that someone added me to their list and would I like to add them to mine. I didn't want to to that so I landed up completely blocking them. If you find another way would you please email me.

thanks

Hope this helps!!!
