Question about facebook?
So usually when i receive an inbox on facebook it pops up with a little red box with a "1" in it above the inbox sign to let me know i have an unread message.

However since about one week i no longer get this red box and i need to check every time if i have a new message which is kind of annoying as sometimes i will be on doing other things and some one will message me to let me know to call etc. And i only read it thirty mins later seeing as i didnt notice it do to the red box not appearing and my that time its too late!

Can anyone help me on trying to get the red box notification to show up?
(ive already been to account settings/notifications and unticked the box that says "only send important emails" and then ticked the box that says "messages".

Thanks for any help!

Ant.

Facebook applications vary in theme from games to music players to social causes. When an application has news for you, Facebook allows it to send you an email notification, unless you block the application in your account settings. If, after stopping the notifications for an application, you change your mind, resuming notifications is easy. The notification setting for each Facebook application is set individually. Once unblocked, messages are sent to the contact email you provided Facebook.

Difficulty:EasyInstructions

1
Log on to Facebook and click on the white "Account" link in the top-right corner of your Facebook screen. Choose "Account Settings" from the drop-down menu.

2
Click the "Notifications" tab.

3
Scroll down to the "Apps" section at the bottom of the screen. Click the "Show More" link to see all apps, if you have too many to be shown on the "Notifications" screen.

4
Check the box to the right of an application to resume email notifications.

5
Click the "Save Changes" icon at the bottom of the page.
