how to know if someone tweeted you something on twitter?

When you go to your Twitter homepage, there will be a link on the right side that says @(your username). When you click on that, it will show you any @ messages to you. Or you could also view direct messages by clicking "Direct Messages" on the right-hand side.

On your homepage it should say @YourUsername, click that, and it should so all the messages with your name in it.

Go to your twitter homepage, and (say your username is xyz) look for a link called @xyz and click it it will show any tweets with @xyz in them
