How do you get applications on your Blackberry?

I have a new Blackberry Curve and was wanting to put some applications on it--specifically the "Facebook" application.

I found it on a website and it said it sent the link to the address associated with my Blackberry.

However, I don't have a data plan so I don't think that it'd work for my phone.

Is there another way to download applications??

no. you have to have the data plan for the phone to function properly. If you can gain access to the net, your carrier is gonna slam you with charges. The phone was built around the principal of being connected to the system, so even if you could get the facebook app by plugging into somebodys PC and loading it, it wouldnt run, and if you found a back way in, your carrier is gonna rape you for cash. Buy the data package, its well worth it.
