can't join my brother on dead island?

ok so i cant join my brother's network we use the same network and a very good one this network doesn't have any leg while using and in some games like black ops im always the host so this network can't possible suck that bad

so me and my brother play the same network and what we do is we both go to option and do the same thing

Game (Visibility)

Public Slots (3)

Private Slots (0)

Nearby Player Notification (on)

Facebook Events (off)

but it still wont let us and we even tried Lan and it still wont let us any help guy would be great

and send us some youtube video or a forum or whatever that can help us think you

Even though it says so on the box, Dead Island isn't a local network co op game. They are trying to fix it but until then you can only play it online with other people.

the same thing happens to me with my cousin on xbox 360 ( i know yours is ps3) i can't explain it we both have great connections so we should be able to connect but can't connect to party or games

A: LAN does work. Me and friend of mine played with it for 2 hours and finally figured it out or to an extent.

I have a lvl 33 char, he has a lvl 2. Apparently it would say on mine 1 player found but no name, on his it was saying "no players found."

Something so simple could have been figured out in less than 2 hours. Start a game with fresh characters. It'll pop up "<Name> is nearby" asking you to hit left on the D-Pad to join. Well, after we found out that worked. We wanted to test something else as in if you had to be near one another on the game with diff level characters.

Didn't work, so basically my solution for anyone with problems is to start anew.
