A Twitter question: Am I supposed to receive the "tweets" as email?

If not how do I receive them... I signed up on Friday (five days ago), I am "following" several celebrities and haven't received anything...

No, you don't receive the tweets in e-mail, and there is no option of doing that.

To see the tweets by celebrities, you have to be following them. Then you can see their tweets on your twitter page.

Go to twitter and log in with your username and password.

You should then be able to see their tweets.

As for e-mail, you can change the settings so that you are e-mailed when you receive a new follower, or when someone sends you a direct message, but to see the actual message, you have to log in to your twitter account.

well maybe because you havent gotten tweeted by them. I guess when you want to have a convo with someone you have to write it like this so they can recieve it:
@here you put their name
you have to have the "@" symbol.
