Is there material that will JUST tell where the candidates stand on ISSUES?
Do not want "mud slinging" topics, just what does each of the candidates stand. As would like their experiences with the issues as on the war, economy, unemployment, taxes, abortions, home security, crime, global warming, ozone, government expenitures, immigration, Social Security, health coverage, housing market, ID thief, security with online crimes, education and the costs rising, pollution, protecting our natural resources, and be accountable with their stands on issues.

I like to look at the former voting records...of course, if they have a voting record...or any experience at all...

http://www.votesmart.org is a pretty extensive resource for voting records.
If its proposed plans you are looking for then i would suggest each candidates website.
Print out each others proposal on whatever issue (1 a day) and hold them up against each other. Even if you only read it in the bathroom. It may seem boring and time consuming but its what you have to do to be an informed voter.
What passes for issues, or even fact for that matter, on TV and in the papers unfortunately doesn't cut it.
Whats more, it amazes me that in the era of 24-hour "news" channels we can't get just one of them to break down policy in a responsible, no frills manner. Iw ould watch it and take notes (like I do with C-SPAN) but then again, I'm a nerd Smile

The League of Women Voters website provides links to many nonpartisan voting guides.
