Should Andrew Breitbart Apologize to Sherrod?
http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/andre...t_apology/

Hello, my name is Michelle and I am a tea party group online. While I understand Breitbarts position concerning wanting to show racism in the NAACP , I personally feel he should indeed apologize to Sherrod for one specific reason which is, I feel he should be the bigger man against the NAACP whom I am sure will never apologize to us the tea party members, but as well to prove that we are as well constantly striving to find common ground and answers to problems to help this great country we live in. I wonder your thoughts as well since I do love Andrew Breitbart for always standing up for the little guys like us but this issue is hurting our movement and yes, I contacted him through direct message on twitter on my feelings. I see how no one wants to take responsibility, such as the media whom ran this story without checking into it and they should be held accountible as well. I do wish Breitbart could say sorry on behalf of Sherrod getting ripped also by the President whom as well is just as guilty and even worse after the Cambridge police incident, but hey everyone makes mistakes even the NAACP whom calls people like me racist. PLEASE Breitbart consider an apology let us be the bigger person on behalf of us lil guys that have thrown our heart and soul into the tea party groups. Thanks and love u, Michelle

Indeed he should apologize, and quite publicly. His actions didn't just hurt Ms. Sherrod, he undermined our political system. If we don't at least try to be honest in our criticisms, we can't progress as a nation.

What did he do that was wrong that would need an apology? He posted a clip from a speech to show that racism exists in the NAACP. Did showing only a portion of the speech make it "out of context"? Probably but the reaction of the people in the audience at the time showed they were agreeing with her behavior at the time not the change she told about later.

Every news agency reports using short clips and quite often the meaning is taken out of context to promote a story or agenda. This isn't unusual so why the complaint this time? The reason it is a big deal now is the reaction of the NAACP and the White House.

JIMMY: How is any thing that this guy did different than what Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have been doing for years?

No, and you are not a tea party member. Just a troll.

One of the reasons for the tea party is that we are tired of being labeled. Breitbart exposed this woman for what she is. She had said she wasn't going to give her full help to the farmer and then sent him to "his own kind" for help. ONLY AFTER that failed, did she help him. THEN at this NAACP meeting she bragged about it while being cheered on by the other members. THAT is what Breitbart exposed.

Now, I will say in Sherrod's defense that she was able to make amends, but she is taking advantage now of the publicity and will not even go on BECK, who DEFENDED her.Instead, she now advocates "class warfare" (her words). I think that shows her true colors and she deserves NO apology.

Yes. Breitbard is a racist who is using any means, including destroying the career of Sherrod, to score points against black people. He was wrong.
