Why do women tend to take a long time before they confirm you as a friend on Facebook?
I've friend-requested quite a few women on Facebook and it takes them a week or so to confirm me as a friend. One girl was replying to me back and forth through our inbox but didn't confirm me as a friend 'til later. Another one took a week or so to confirm we're friends. And the last one, this girl I see on a regular basis hasn't confirmed me as a friend but we talk in person. I'm thinking it's part of their game, but it just annoys the heck out of me. Need the ladies input on this as much as the guys point-of-view. Thank you.

never noticed. One just really doesn't want to sift though her requests but I suppose they have to be more cautious

Some girls think that not confirming friends on facebook makes you cool. If you really feel uncomfortable with it, Just ask them in person. Hope it helped.

She's probably talking about it with her friends.
Or she's embarrassed to show her friends that you even know each other, she might think you're creepy too.

a lot of women dont want to offend people in there social circle by declining their request so they tend to put off for as long as possible they also think its cool sometimes. Occasionally she will talk it through with her friends. sometimes she just cant be bothered to check them. sometimes the notifications of a new friend request dont even come through and also if your not friends on facebook you dont know how often shes on the website she might only ever check it once every couple of months!

Maybe they just don't care as much about Facebook as you do? Or aren't on it as frequently.

If you're 'friending' people you don't know in person then I wouldn't expect an instant acceptance. I'll even speak to people I have no intention of adding as a 'friend' because guess what? They're not my friend, they're an acquaintance I have no interest in inviting to read what I put up and discuss with my real friends.

It's not part of any 'game'. Maybe it annoys the heck out of the people you keep trying to add, hmm? Applies to any gender.

In my case I have a pile of about 20 friend requests just sitting there. I know I should probably either decline or accept them but a lot of those request are from people I hardly know (or don't know at all, but they're apparently related to me) so I'm not quite sure what to do.
maybe it's the same for them.
