Can I ask a girl to my homecoming dance on Facebook?

Ok, several months ago I met this girl on Facebook through an application. We started talking a lot and I like her and I have the feeling that she likes me back. We haven't actually met in person yet, but I really like her and hopefully we'll meet each other soon. So I'm just wondering since she doesn't go to my school, would it be a bad idea to ask her to my homecoming dance next year on facebook?

You should probably meet first before asking her to a dance. Spare yourself the embarrassment by making sure she actually is a girl.

If thats the only means of communication, then i guess theres no other choice. If you can actually talk to her face to face or on the phone then that will give you more confident image.

Of course you can, but you need to meet first to verify if the feeling is mutual.
