How do I hide my online status on Facebook?
I have a Mac, I don't know if this has anything to do with it. However, I have gone to settings and chose privacy and then went to applications, clicked on settings and it gave me a bunch of boxes to check or leave unchecked. Online presence is a box you can leave unchecked if you do not want to share this information. I did that and saved my changes. It doesn't work; I checked using my husbands Facebook account and it still shows I'm online. Any ideas why or what I'm doing wrong?

just log off the Facebook chat thing, thats what I do
it won't sure ur online I know cause thats what I always do That facebook chat thing is useless Ads |

Bottom right corner
There's a green dot - Choosing it a small window opens and you just choose offline that keeps you as offline till you change it back |

find the button with a person and a green dot beside the notification and online friends list then press it then press go offline.. they will not know youre online

at the bottom next to your online friends for the chat thing, theres a little green dot, click it, and choose 'go offline' or whatever it says there =] Hope this helps!

on the bottom right hand corner click the green circle and click "go offline". you can't be invisible like on im.

What you can do is click the little box on your account that is in the lower-right hand corner. It should have the green circle in it if your online. Then click the Go Offline hyperlink and it should then have a red circle and say your offline. It to online do the same thing.

The server might take some time to register you have disconnected. Give it more than 2 minutes.

What you want to do first is go to the box where it shows how many of your friends are online.(bottom right).Then go to the right and click the box with the little person with the little green circle next to it.There will be an option that says You are online.Go offline? click yes
|
