why cant my blackberry service plan support the facebook application for my blackberry 9300 3G?

when i try and go on facebook on my blackberry it lets me enter my email and password but dosent let me log in, it says ''You are currently on a service plan that does not support this application, please connect to a Wi-Fi network or contact your service provider tp upgrade your data plan''
& would it cost me to upgrade my data plan?

There's a problem with the Blackberry server at the moment. I'm guessing your BBM or internet isn't working too well either? Its got messed up the last couple of days. Should be fixed by the weekend ..the good thing is we can all kick off to our service providers & get money off phonebills!!
