Verizon Android Facebook application and contacts?

Got a Verizon LG android/ALLY a couple of days ago. It has a great facebook application and all of my "friends" from facebook were added into my contacts. However, I am unable to take that contact and add a phone number for that person. Do I assume they have to have their phone number posted on FB for it to be added to that contact? And will I have to have duplicate contacts because of it?

You can add a phone number to any contact by going into it and editing it.

well thats because you are looking at a contact that was pulled from Facebook
go to facebook, click setting and than sync contacts and than you can sync only with the ppl in your phone book, i think you have to set to sync all.
if you want you can remove that option.....than go to your phone contacts and click menu than display option and you can select to display only by phone number and change setting from here.
again you cannot edit a contact that your phone pulled from facebook.
you can only write that number down and manually create a contact in your phone or just use that to call them.
