i recently joined twitter, how do i write to people so it shows up on there twitter page?

I've wrote to Chris Moyles a few times but my comment dont show on his page? and ive wrote to many people but still it dont show? help twitter is complicating! xx
I do put @ then write a message but it dont come up on there page, it only appears on my tweets

you write @ and their username and write what you wanna say after the @(username) and it should show on their page.

it doesn't show up on their twitter page like myspace or facebook. They read it from their homepage on twitter, no one else can. Unless, they are following you.

It does not come up on their page. Only their @reply will be on their page, as your @reply to them will be on your page. There is an option on the top right hand side of your Twitter page that says @xxxxxxx (and your Twitter name). Click on that, and that will have all your replies...

Downloading an application such as http://www.tweetdeck.com is helpful as it sorts your feed, replies and direct messages out for you.

Also, if you lock your account and you write to someone that is not following you, they will not get it (cause you are locked). If you want to write to someone that is not following you, just make sure your account is unlocked first (in the settings area) and then lock it back up again when done.
