Is it true that India also has a "if you're white you're right...if you black, get back" attitude about race and class. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnew...India.html

Ha, that's funny and messed up. But you're acting as if people don't use photoshop or picnik when they edit their pictures...

& for the white & right thing, it all depends on which part of India you go to. The Northern parts don't really have that colonization momentum but as you go down into the country you realize people are more worried about their skin colour and such. The only reason for this is because of the British and Portuguese ruling of India. When India was being slaved by the white people, if you looked more like them you wouldn't be treated as harsh or you're family wouldn't be either. (Sad, but true). Also, this just doesn't happen in India. It happens in other Asian countries like the Philiphenes, Malaysia, and etc.

Yes, it does. Sad to admit it, but in India, a woman with white skin but a face like an azz is considered beautiful, whereas Naomi Campbell would be considered ugly.

India is one of the few countries in the world where looking like a leper is attractive. People tan because that is how they are protected from the sun. White people love to tan, but Indians are stupid.
And I am one. Luckily, I live in America and am surrounded by common sense.

Supply and demand. If theres a demand (which is the case in india's point) then companies will try and supply them with that certain product in order to get money..

Did you mean skin-lightening Facebook application. Skin color is tied into caste in India. It's a multi-billion dollar business. Just look at these commercials. Both commercials answer you secondary question
