technically its legal. I tried to jailbreak mine but it wouldn't work for some reason but my friends who have done it say its definitely worth it

Forget what everyone else says asking not to do it! i have done it and its the best thing i have done so far! jailbreaking a device even in warranty is safe as you can always restore it if you got a problem with it!

I have a 2G ipod touch jailbroken and I love it!! I jailbroked it when it was illegal. lol Now, it's legal though, so don't be scared. For me, there isn't no cons. My ipod touch haven't changed at all! I love the features that I couldn't get with a 4.0! Jailbreaking my ipod touch was the best thing I ever did! If for some reason you don't like it, or something goes bad while installing, then you can always restore your ipod! Any tutorial help go into youtube and you should find tons of great help!
