What Does This Mean? Is it Just a British Thing?
I love the band One Night Only and I was following George Craig (their lead singer) on Twitter and he and others kept saying "ym x". What in the world does that mean? I've never seen it in my life, is it just a British thing? If you could help me out that would be great!! Thanks in advance Smile

I think its more likely to be a George Craig "thing".

I'm British and I've never seen that before in my life. I presume the x is just a kiss but what "ym" is I can't guess.

Why not send him a tweet and ask him directly?

i'd imagine the 'ym' are the initials of someone, the 'x' is a kiss symbol that is used by all british people when writing and wanting to send a kiss.

so if i'm right then he is sending a message to someone with ym as their initials (he is sending them a kiss).

ahah, its only a george thing thats now a one night only fan thing. it mean 'yes mate' or as he would say it 'yus matee'. basically he will say it when something is good so for example 'its sunny YM' and the x after is just a kiss (:
