twitter help please????

THis is gonna sound stupid but how do you post something on someone's wall or whatever on twitter. likke where do you even type it?!!
Oh my gosh thank you so much! now i don't feel so stupid! thankk youu again! (:
by the way when someone does # and something ....why do they do that?

If you want a tweet to be seen by a particular person (whether they follow you or not), just start the tweet with @theirname. Your tweet will show up in their "Mentions" list.

@BarackObama Hey Mr President, great job!

If you're on the twitter.com website, type it into the text box right under "What's happening?". If you don't see that, then you need a twitter account then log into it first.

If this other person follows you, then you also have the option of sending them a Direct Message. Do that thru "Messages", or just send a tweet that starts with "d theirname ..." like:

d BarackObama Hey Mr President, great job!
