Anyone feels the more facebook applications they add, the more spam they get?
I'm just curious, anyone else sees a connection between the number of Facebook applications they add to their profile and the number of spam e-mails they get into their e-mail account? It's been happening to me, and I'm not sure it's really Facebook's fault, but if more people are experiencing the same, it might be.
I am not talking about e-mail notifications. I receive spam. Usually of the "Want to have a ten-foot penis?" type.

Yeah, but it's because they're notifying you of what friend did what. Like if you have the questions app. it's like so and so just answered your question, and another so and so answered your question! I think there's a way to stop the emails but I forgot where it is.

When you add an application you go to a page that says "Allow us to access your personal information, email address... etc"

I bet you half of the applications were just created so they could get people to opt-in to their emails... and opting out is probably more complicated than getting in.

I dont like to add the applications... plus I used a separate email just for FaceBook.
