Samsung says "2 new messages" but there's def only 1...?

...I've deleted all my messages and there's definitely none unread but when I receive a messages it's telling me there's 2. Any ideas? I see some people have had the same problem but there's no real answers.
Yes, it is the Samsung Tocco mobile. I've checked for picture messages and I don't have email set up. It's been happening all day and is bugging me now! : (

Im assuming this is a phone....have you checked picture mail or email? Might be a glitch

Restart your phone, just turn it off or pull out the battery and turn it on. It focuses simple glitches on most phones. I don't know why its saying that if your inbox is empty, maybe its a message from facebook, twitter, your email if you're phone is connected to your email or whatever account,
