Activating my Twitter? Sending updates to my cell phone?

I have my Twitter account all set up and ready and everything, but I can't for the life of me get the updates to go to my cell phone. I've restarted it a few times and send the new code to Twitter, and I've made sure that I'm sending it to the right place. What is up?

Twitter goes down from time to time. As in, it fails to send you updates since their servers go down frequently. Sometime later, you'll get all the updates flooding your message inbox.

The thing I would recommend is to use third part Twitter clients to get the job done since it has a long way to go before the system becomes perfect.
