How do you post your comment on Twitter? I don't understand it?

I just cant figure out how to post a comment on a twitter thread. I click on my name icon but it just shows my messages i received. Can someone slowly explain how to answer a topic on twitter?

if you click home instead of your own profile (or name) then there should be a box for you to write your tweet in !

technically you can't post a "comment" on twitter. it doesn't work like facbook's wall where you can see people's replies on each update.

you can start or join a conversation tho by replying to the tweet that struck you. if you're on the twitter webpage, hover on the rightside of the tweet and you'll see an arrow and a star. click on the arrow to reply with your message. the user will be able to see your tweet.
